Propel Aviation Center Training Summary – through Army  and Air Force COOL

These instructions are provided to help you select the Propel Aviation Center Training Program that best suits your goal and flight experience.

 

Propel Aviation Center is a FAA Part 61 training provider and we leverage the flexibility allowed under CFR Part 61 to help you meet your goals. We have bundled our training in $4,000 packages (approx.), to simplify the application process. If you do not fit within one of these categories, please contact us directly before applying through Army or Air Force COOL.

1.Private Pilot, Airplane Single-Engine Land

Private Pilot - Phase I

  • Necessary supplies will be supplied on first day: Headset, ground school, books, etc., all provided by Propel Aviation Center as part of the Fiscal Year Budget.

  • Prerequisite: little or no flight experience. Goal: to prepare for Solo Flight

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Private Pilot Training Course Outline (discussed on first day and provided with ground school)

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Private Pilot Training Course Outline Stage 1 thru Stage 3

  • Flight hours: 19.9

Private Pilot - Phase II/III

  • Prerequisite: near solo, or recently soloed. Goal: to prepare for the Private Pilot Check Ride

  • Purpose of this phase is checkride prep: ground training and finishing flight hour requirement. If more dual is required for proficiency in preparation for practical test, that time is provided in this phase

  • Training will still follow Sporty’s Private Pilot Training Course Outline Stage 2 and Stage 3

  • Check Ride Prep

  • Flight hours: 21.1

2.Private Pilot, Rotorcraft to Fixed Wing (Airplane Category Addon)

Rotorcraft to Fixed Wing - Phase I

  • No written exam required. Practical Exam is required. Reference 14 CFR Part 61.109 for required flight time.

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Private Pilot Training Course Outline as applicable

  • Books and supplies not required since pilot already has an airman certificate.

  • Purpose of this phase is dual flight time required for the airplane single engine land addon.

  • Flight Hours (including solo): 15.4

 

Rotorcraft to Fixed Wing - Phase II

  • The purpose of this phase is checkride preparation.

  • Flight Hours: 14.6

Instrument Rating – Phase I

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Private Pilot Training Course Outline (discussed on first day and provided with ground school)

  • Necessary supplies will be supplied on first day: Headset, ground school, books, etc., all provided by Propel Aviation Center as part of the Fiscal Year Budget.

  • Flight hours: 13

 

Instrument Rating – Phase II

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Instrument Training Course Outline.

  • If required, this phase can be repeated to meet the cross-country PIC flight time requirement in 14

CFR Part 61.65

  • Flight Hours: 14

 

Instrument Rating – Phase III

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Private Pilot Training Course Outline

  • Flight hours: 13

4.Commercial Pilot, Airplane Single-Engine Land

 

Commercial Pilot, Airplane Single-Engine Land (Books and Materials Provide as part of the Fiscal Year budget). 120 Flight Hours:

 

Commercial Pilot– Phase I

  • Books and supplies, all provided Propel Aviation Center as part of the Fiscal Year Budget.

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Commercial Training Course Outline

  • Flight Hours: 24

 

Commercial Pilot– Phase II

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Instrument Training Course Outline

  • No supplies needed (given in Phase 1)

  • Flight Hours: 24

 

Commercial Pilot– Phase III

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Instrument Training Course Outline

  • No supplies needed (given in Phase 1)

  • Flight Hours: 24

 

Commercial Pilot– Phase IV

  • Training will follow Sporty’s Instrument Training Course Outline

  • No supplies needed (given in Phase 1)

  • Student will be required to repeat this phase until close to their 250 hour total time requirement.

  • Flight Hours: 24

 

Commercial Pilot– Phase V

  • Purpose of this phase is checkride preparation

  • No supplies needed (given in Phase 1)

  • Student will be required to repeat this phase until close to their 250 hour total time requirement.

  • Flight Hours: 24
